Rihanna pose topless

Rnb pop star and award winning artist Rihanna has stripped down as the latest face of Nivea cosmetics: a topless shot of the pop star, who will help spearhead the brand's 100-year anniversary as the spokesperson for its '100 Years of Skincare for Life" campaign, was released today (Mar. 3).

"Over the past 100 years, Niva has been an iconic skincare brand across the world. Rihanna is a music icon and her digital footprint will help us bring our anniversary celebration to consumers wherever they are," says Markus Pinger, member of the Nivea board, in a statement.

The official campaign will launch in May, just as she is preparing to board on her Nivea-sponsored Loud tour, which kicks off June 4 in Baltimore.

The chic look in the Nivea photo strikes a different chord than Rihanna's sexually charged get-ups in the music video for "S&M." The racy single jumps two spots to No. 5 on this week's Hot 100, giving the singer her 13th top five hit on the chart.

The pop artist  Jordan Knight will release a new solo album, intitled "Unfinished," this coming May 3 (JK Music/Mass Appeal Entertainment/eOne Music), and the he will tell the Billboard.com that he's thrilled to get back to his up-tempo pop roots. Knight -- who premiered his first single, the club-friendly "Let's Go Higher," on Z100 this morning and released it on iTunes, says that "Unfinished" feels like his first real album since his 1999 solo debut, which produced the Top 10 Hot 100 hit "Give It to You." That release was followed by a ballad-leaning EP entitled "The Fix" in 2004, and in 2006 came "Love Songs," a collection of covers that Knight now says never really felt like his own.
Jordan also said "I wasn't in a good place back then. I just went along with everyone else's idea of what I should make, so I hardly even consider it my album," Knight recalls. "With this album I've been pushing my vision since the beginning, so I'm more in the driver's seat than with any other solo project I've done.

American Idol 2011

Season 10's American Idol first show with a studio audience isn't exactly live. To work out the Top 24 kinks a little while before the Top 12 (or is it 13? Or maybe 15?) kicks into gear, the producers tape these untimely episodes without the typical time constraints or production pressures. There's still a schedule to keep, but it's not as unwavering as next week's episodes, when the competition really gets going.

Of course, this was no ordinary episode. For most everyone who walked into the studio on Friday, The greeted with a brand spanking new set on Febuary 25. The vibe: theater in the round. A circular stage with the audience positioned on all sides -- behind the giant "American Idol" logo in the back, tucked on the side among four opera box-like balconies, two of which were used by the contestants -- girls up above, guys down below - and the other two which seemed well-suited to VIPs.
